The Interact Club of Royal College emerge Winners of Rotaquest 2009

Rotaquest 2009 – an all island Interact Club quiz competition organized by the Rotaract Club of Colombo took place this past Sunday, the 8th of March at the HNB Towers auditorium. Rotaquest is the first such initiative by the club and had registrations from over 10 Interact clubs. The quiz was formulated and conducted by professional quiz masters Jehan and Navin who are the pioneers of pub quizzes in Sri Lanka.

The quiz rounds tested the participants knowledge of Rotary, current affairs, sports, science, general knowledge and entertainment. The club hopes to make this an annual event, with the challenge trophy for this year being won by the Interact club of Royal College and the Interact Club of The Study coming in a close second.

The Rotaract club of Colombo is the pioneer Rotaract club in Sri Lanka and comes under the guardianship of the Rotary Club of Colombo. It has been synonymous with innovative and effective projects in community service, international understanding and professional development throughout its existence of 40 years with Amana Takaful being its annual sponsor for community based projects for two consecutive years. Currently the club boasts a strength of over 40 members comprising of students, academics, professionals and entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 to 30.
